«The Sporting Programme of the Eastern Economic Forum has become a significant platform for the promotion of sporting projects and sport itself to the business audience. This year it gains the Eastern touch, merging popular in the Asia-Pacific Region Olympic and non-Olympic sports. Many of the upcoming sports events exemplify cooperation between countries, which is thoroughly consistent with the ideas of the Easter Economic Forum,» noted Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.

On 11–13 September the Far East Street hosts the 1st Cup of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in Go, a board game popular in China, Korea and Japan.
