The Victory Cup is an equestrian tournament dedicated to the Russian people’s acts of heroism during World War II. The fifth season of the 2022–2023 Victory Cup is dedicated to the heroic deeds of Pioneers and Komsomol members, and will combine three equestrian disciplines. In addition to show jumping and dressage, the tournament will include eventing competitions, thus allowing hundreds of competitors to enter the patriotic equestrian contest.
The Victory Cup is expected to comprise up to 50 tournaments, some of which will be held in St. Petersburg and Moscow and in other Russian regions. The final will be held in the Moscow Region. Equestrian clubs in any region of Russia can host a stage of the Victory Cup. All the stages of the 2022–2023 Victory Cup will be supported by the Roscongress Foundation in the run-up to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on 14–17 June 2023.
“The Victory Cup is a tournament held in memory of those who heroically defended our Motherland during World War II and in recognition of their acts of heroism at such a difficult time. I am confident that the series of Victory Cup stages will bring together leading competitors from Russia and other countries. Roscongress is planning to field its own team in the final of the Victory Cup,” said Irina Zhiltsova, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
The competitions in different regions of Russia will be organized with support from RC Sport, the Roscongress Foundation’s sports platform.
