The agreement was signed on June 17 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Seven regions included in the Volga Federal District became participants in the memorandum at once. On behalf of the Samara Region, the document was signed by the Minister of Economic Development and Investment Dmitry Bogdanov.
A comprehensive investment project will create favorable conditions for combining the projects of the participating regions to master the production of high value-added products, significant export potential and fill technological and component gaps.

Today is a time of challenge when traditional supply chains are undergoing changes, and it is imperative to focus together on a common goal: to ensure that our enterprises are loaded with the necessary materials and components. Joint work expands opportunities for both new investors and existing investment projects, whose activities can be scaled up, taking into account the large team of the Volga Federal District», - said Dmitry Bogdanov.
«The work in the republic on the creation of a comprehensive investment project was started even before the change in the global situation. Here, the Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Russia provided us with great support», - Rustam Muratov, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan, explained.
At the same time, recent geopolitical events have made this initiative particularly relevant in the context of the need to overcome the consequences of sanctions pressure. Today, it is important to create the prerequisites not only for the restoration of the functioning of the economy, but also for the reconfiguration, development and strengthening of production chains.
«The agreement was signed in the presence of Alexei Kuzmitsky, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, and this is very important. In this case, the initiative from below, from the regions themselves, supported by the embassy, is a big step towards achieving a common goal and confidence that the final product will be useful for all parties to the agreement. This is the task that Governor Dmitry Azarov sets before us to use all the opportunities for business development in the Samara region», - concluded Dmitry Bogdanov.
