Фонд Росконгресс поделился с сахалинскими коллегами технологиями проведения мероприятий

On 2–3 March, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk hostedTransition to natural gas a motor fuel: challenges and opportunities’, a large economic conference in preparations for the 6th Eastern Economic Forum. During the conference, senior management of the Roscongress Foundation met with Sakhalin’s event management professionals.

The seminar focused on developing event management on Sakhalin. Attendees included Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Eastern Economic Forum Igor Pavlov, Deputy Director for Development of the Eastern Directorate and Head of Vladivostok Branch Maxim Yakovenko, as well as representatives of regional and city administrations, mass event organizers, ambassadors of private companies and tertiary sector professionals.

«Over 15 years, we have built enormous professional experience we would like to share. We are using our practices from previous years, which helps us perform in an ever-demanding environment. We want those involved in event management to understand that it is not a science, but rather an application that requires attention, learning, skills, procedures, and toolsets,» said Igor Pavlov, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Eastern Economic Forum.

According to Igor Pavlov, technicalities of selecting venues or services are relatively simple. The main issue in preparing events is learning to work with attendees of conferences, seminars, roundtables, and forums. One needs to make sure these events are truly beneficial for their participants.

Head of Roscongress’s Vladivostok Branch Maxim Yakovenko shared practices of setting goals, objectives and key ideas for events. He also talked about event structure and preparation of sporting and cultural programmes. The seminar addressed the importance of finding the right partners and organizing services, logistics, and navigation, as well as information support and media promotion of the event.

Participants noted that sharing best practices — especially when it comes to such professionals as organizers of the Eastern Economic Forum — becomes meaningful for people involved in event management, as it helps them acquire new technologies and practices for working with people and venues.

This seminar was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Sakhalin Region.

The 6th
Eastern Economic Forum will take place in Vladivostok on 2–5 September
2020. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress
Foundation.
