Вопросы подготовки площадки ПМЭФ-2022 обсудили в Санкт-Петербурге

A meeting covering organizational issues for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022 recently took place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre — the venue for the forthcoming event. Among those in attendance were partners and their contractors, exhibitors, and representatives of the Roscongress Foundation.

In his welcoming address at the event, Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Alexey Valkov set out key dates in preparations for the event. He also spoke on aspects related to ensuring epidemiological safety, and specified setup and dismantling periods in the run-up to and following the Forum. «Concerted action is set to be taken over the coming three months to organize the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Organizing an event of this size invariably requires a clear action plan. It is essential that time frames for accreditation, projects, and technical solutions are strictly adhered to, and that PCR testing is in place. Over the years, we have developed a transparent and unambiguous procedure. It has been crucial to follow this procedure in order to avoid disruption and delays related to preparing the Forum venue. This year will be no exception. I am in no doubt that the concerted efforts of all offices and organizations involved in preparations for this anniversary edition of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will make it the biggest, safest, and most significant event of its kind in 2022,» said Valkov.

A number of topics came under focus at the meeting. These included sanitary and epidemiological safety during the setup period, fire safety at the Forum venue, catering requirements for contractors, technical documentation, and accreditation of people involved in preparations for the Forum. Sanitary measures in relation to the venue, deliveries of goods and equipment, and halls used for business programme events also came under discussion.

The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on 15–18 June. This anniversary edition of the event will feature a range of exclusive exhibitions, stands, and presentations. As in previous years, participants and guests will also be able to make use of networking areas. In addition, there will be a sector designated for agreement signing ceremonies and press events, and a Governors’ Club. More information will appear on the official SPIEF website in May.
