projects and initiatives and aid in promoting them internationally,» Peskov
emphasized.
The kick-off
meeting of the Coordination Council discussed and coordinated formats for
interaction between initiative participants, areas of activity, and a long-term
work plan. In January, representatives of the Council will hold a series of
consultations with project leaders aimed at identifying business needs and
assessing the possibility of promoting projects and practices.
«The Agency
for Strategic Initiatives Go Global initiative makes it possible for us to
coordinate the activities of leading development institutions in order to help
Russian companies enter the international market. Activities of this kind
contribute to strengthening the status of the Russian Federation as a leading
technological power and to build international strategic partnerships so that
we might jointly develop responses to global challenges. Companies chosen will
receive expert support and will be represented at leading international
business sites, both in Russia and abroad», Roscongress Foundation CEO
Alexander Stuglev said. He also suggested creating a «Go Global Programme Media
Strategy» track and expressed a readiness to undertake its development: «A
large number of events are held in Russia annually, but we have yet to develop
a common information strategy for the Russian media space and the international
market. A combined effort in this area will significantly strengthen our
presence in the media and will allow us to more effectively build
communications to achieve our goals».
Head of the
Rossotrudnichestvo CIS Affairs Department Sergey Malenko drew attention to the
importance of the «Language of Communication» track and the difficulties of
interlanguage communication that experts encounter when promoting projects on
the international market.
Managing Director for International
Development at Russian Export Center JSC Anna Belyaeva emphasized the
importance of carrying out analytical studies in order to identify demand in
regions that companies are looking at and search for potential partners already
working in these areas.
The Agency
for Strategic Initiatives Go Global service consists of four operational
activity tracks: «Projects», «Affiliate Network», «International Promotion»,
and «Global Ideas».
As part of
the «Projects» track, an expanded list will be compiled of up to 30 companies
for possible promotion, with at least 10 projects to be selected on the basis
of an assessment of their degree of readiness to go global. The «Projects»
operational activity track will make use of the tools available to strategic
partners of the Go Global initiative to promote Russian projects in global
regions with markets that can forecast significant demand.
The
following areas of activity have been earmarked as part of the «Affiliate
Network» track: the development of an international network of «Boiling Point»
collective work spaces, the creation of an international partner expert
network, the development of strategic partnerships with foreign universities,
and the development of an internal Russian regional partner network in the
constituent entities of the Russian Federation to find and subsequently promote
promising regional projects, practices, and initiatives internationally.
As part of
the «International Promotion» track, ratings and competitions will be monitored
in various fields in which Russian projects, practices, and initiatives could
be competitive, and high-quality Russian cases will be analyzed and selected
for the purpose of positioning them in international ratings and competitions.
The «Global
Ideas» track will focus on ensuring equal participation on the part of the
Russian Federation in determining the rules and standards for the new economy,
the desired global image of the future, and the global agenda for creating a
conceptual framework for all activities aimed at promoting the countrys
national interests.
