На XVI Форуме межрегионального сотрудничества России и Казахстана подписан ряд важных коммерческих соглашений

On Wednesday, 6 November, at the 16th Russia—Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum in Omsk, representatives of major businesses, commercial banks, educational institutions, and NGOs of the two countries signed a total of 14 cooperation agreements. These agreements should facilitate stronger ties between the two countries, as well as enable experience sharing between the parties and help them consolidate position both within their domestic markets and internationally.

The Forum, organised by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation, has become a platform for signing major commercial and strategic agreements between Russian and Kazakhstani companies and organisations.

«Every year, at the interregional cooperation forum, increasingly more businesses from the two countries identify areas of common interest and opportunities to expand mutually beneficial partnerships. The number of bilateral agreements between commercial entities and NGOs is growing accordingly,» said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation. «All this shows the importance of ongoing dialogue. We have created an effective platform for sharing experience, finding partners, and signing agreements. This interaction format leads to the emergence of new trends in business and society, as well as opens up multiple new opportunities for the forum participants.»

The signing ceremony was attended by the heads and leaders of partnering organisations. OOO Titan-Agro signed an agreement of intent to cooperate with TOO AZAM-KS, and bilateral cooperation documents were signed between Moskommertsbank and Export Insurance Company KazakhExport. KazakhExport also reached agreements with OOO Control Leasing and OOO KSP Steel Trading House. The Eurasian Development Bank and TOO KB Enterprises signed a loan agreement

Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery signed two cooperative agreements: a trilateral agreement with Omsk State Technical University and the S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, and a cooperation agreement with Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery. Omsk State Technical University also signed a cooperative agreement with OOO AvelarSolar Technology.

Multiple agreements were signed to promote trade between the two countries, including a supply contract for ready-to-cook products between TOO Iceberg PV and Eurasia Trading House, and a supply contract for sausage products between TOO Kazmyasoprodukt and Eurasia Trading House. The Department for Entrepreneurship and Industrial Innovative Development of the West Kazakhstan Region of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alliance of the Saratov Region also signed a cooperative agreement.

NGOs from Russia and Kazakhstan also reached agreements to establish a framework for further interactions: for the first time in history, the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region signed agreements with the Public Councils of the Karaganda and Kostanay Regions of Kazakhstan. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation was signed between the Tourist Association of the North Kazakhstan Region and Omsk Youth regional NGO.
