On 29 June 2022 at 14:30 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will host a session entitled ‘Non-Profit Organizations: Trends in the Development of Legal Status and Regulation of Activities’.
The event is dedicated to improvement of the legislature regarding non-profit organizations and further development of interaction between the state and the public.
The session will consider the most topical issues related to this field. The participants will discuss the new Concept of non-profit corporate governance draft and prospects of its implementation, talk about such civil legislation novelties as the institute of personal funds and the possibility of holding non-profit official meetings with the use of information technologies.
An important section of the discussion will be dedicated to the development of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the scientific community in terms of non-profit organizations.
“Non-profit organizations play an important social and economic role in nation-building. That is why the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation is constantly improving legislation in this area. Today, the priority task is to ensure stable and comfortable conditions for submission of documents regarding the activities of the non-profit sector. The draft of the new Concept will envisage the possibility of exempting non-profits from the obligation to submit paper reports,” said Oleg Sviridenko, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.
