The official website for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum published the business programme for the Youth International Economic Forum, which will be held on 18 June 2022. The event is co-organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).

“Participants of the Youth International Economic Forum are outstanding, smart and ambitious young people. Someof them have already proven themselves in business, research and culture. The Forum business programme covers a wide range of topics and addresses the most important aspirations of today’s youth. Participation in this event opens up unique opportunities to find business partners, like-minded people, and feedback from world-class experts,” noted Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov.

One of the key topics of the Youth International Economic Forum business programme is youth entrepreneurship. Experts will share ways to find investment for new projects, guard one’s interests and earn on the intellectual property market. They will also address special features of a social business and inclusive entrepreneurship. The programme includes a special session on financial and legal literacy for young entrepreneurs.

“We see that young people demonstrate an interest to developing their own business. This is why we are trying to create the most comfortable business environment possible. We don’t just introduce subject-matter tracks into our flagship projects, but we have launched a nationwide youth entrepreneurship development programme together with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. We believe that our activity will help a larger number of young entrepreneurs unleash their potential,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).

Education has traditionally been a significant topic of the International Youth Economic Forum. This year's programme includes sessions such as ‘IT Education in Russia’, ‘Youth and Education in the New Reality’, ‘Competences of the Future: Learning and Teaching Soft Skills’, ‘Professionalism: A Fresh Look on Vocational Education’ and other.

Sessions of the business programme also cover the environment, science, tourism, sustainable development, and international relations.

Forum participants will be able to attend a master class entitled ‘International Negotiation Tournament with a Foreign Partner’. The art of negotiating competitively when concluding a foreign trade contract allows a company to achieve the highest possible economic result. This art should be mastered by every successful specialist in foreign trade. Negotiations require to pay great attention not only to the agenda, but to the cross-cultural characteristics of the foreign partner as well. The master class will explain special features of international negotiations and ways to determine growth points.

The awards ceremony for the winners of the 19th All-Russian competition ‘My Country – My Russia’ will be held as part of the Youth International Economic Forum. The competition involved active citizens of the country who care about the present and future of their region, who are ready to offer ideas and implement projects aimed at improving the quality of life and addressing the socio-economic development of Russian territories (cities and villages), as well as international humanitarian, socio-economic cooperation. The theme of the 19th pre-anniversary season of the All-Russian competition ‘My Country – My Russia’, which started at the beginning of 2022, was the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia.
