On 15 June 2022, on the opening day of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the main business event of the pharmaceutical industry, the “Ensuring Drug Security” Russian Pharmaceutical Forum, will take place for the second time. The business programme architecture is published on the official website of the Forum.
The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Subcommittee on the Circulation of Medicines and the Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry under the State Duma’s Healthcare Committee of the Russian Federation. The Forum is held annually and is the leading platform for discussing the pharmaceutical industry's business agenda.
"The pharmaceutical industry in recent years has proven its resilience and readiness to respond promptly to various challenges. In close cooperation with concerned agencies, the professional community, public organizations, and business representatives, we are developing mechanisms for prompt response to changing conditions in order to ensure drug security in our country," said Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.
The main themes of the Pharmaceutical Forum in 2022 include import substitution of medicines and medical devices; increasing trust in Russian medicines; factors of availability of innovative medicines for all categories of patients; digitalization in pharmaceutical provision; issues of quality, efficiency, and safety of medicines, as well as prospects of the Russian pharmaceutical market development. Plenary session of the Forum is Drug Security: Humanity at the Heart of Collaboration.
"The “Ensuring Drug Security” Russian Pharmaceutical Forum today is, in fact, the only significant business event of the pharmaceutical industry. This is yet another proof that in such serious matters as ensuring the country's drug security, one can only rely on one's own strength and internal resources, and we are successfully coping with this", stressed Alexander Petrov, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Medicines, Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry, Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Health Protection.
