The Roscongress Foundation and the Soyuzmultfilm Studio have released a joint animated video for the start of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum. The main theme of the Forum, ‘Opportunities for the Far East in a World under Transformation’, is presented in the form of a computer game whose characters – a scientist, an entrepreneur, and a tourist – vividly demonstrate the focuses of the region’s development.
“The success of the Roscongress Foundation’s events is largely due to the fact that we are open to new formats and experiments. We thought it would be interesting to express the main ideas of such a serious business event as the Eastern Economic Forum in the language of animation. And I believe that our partner Soyuzmultfilm brilliantly implemented this idea,” Roscongress Foundation CEO and Chairman of the Board Alexander Stuglev said.
“The rapidly changing modern world, in which the media environment is an integral part, requires new approaches to conveying information and broadcasting the main theses and meanings. And animation, which speaks to viewers in the international language of images, can offer a lot in this regard. We often use its elements in everyday communication as well as for effective presentation at business events. Our creative team has taken an interest in presenting the main theme of the Forum in the form of an animated video that will attract attention and also vividly inform its guests from different countries about the EEF,” Soyuzmultfilm Studio General Director Boris Mashkovtsev said.
The first level of the game-themed video is based on science, which underlies other achievements. Moreover, 2021 has been declared the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, and the Russky Technopark is being created at Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island, the traditional site of the EEF, to become a centre that will coordinate support for technological and innovative projects in the Far East.
The second part of the cartoon illustrates investment cooperation and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in the Russian Far East, such as bridges, roads, seaports, and airports. The successful business projects, in turn, create conditions for the development of tourism, which has a positive effect on the quality of life of local residents. At the end of the video, all the characters meet up at the focal point of where all these skills come together – at the site of the EEF.
