The opening ceremony of the Far East Street exhibition, which is organized as part of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, will take place on 3 September at 18:30. The exhibition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.

At the exhibition, regions of the Far Eastern Federal District will present their economic, investment and tourism opportunities. Also taking part in this year's exhibition are federal executive authorities: the Russian Ministry of Sport, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District; Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of Russia for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic; and leaders of the Far Eastern Federal District regions.

"The Far East Street exhibition is an opportunity to present your Far Eastern region to foreign delegations, international business, academia and the public. It is not just major investment projects or development of territories, it is an opportunity for governors and residents to show why they love their land, what they plan to do, what prospects they see. An opportunity to attract investors and tourists," noted Yury Trutnev.

The artistic concept of the opening ceremony is a journey of a young heroine on a paper boat called 'I Love the Far East' through all the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. A key event of the event will be the performance of the official anthem of the exhibition, written in 2019 to lyrics by Ilya Reznik, People's Artist of Russia. It will be performed by the Pop and Symphony Orchestra of the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic Society together with the Academic Choir of the Far Eastern Federal University. A show ballet and regional creative delegations will also perform on stage.

In addition, the ceremony will feature performances in Kyokushinkai-kan and taekwondo. A spectacular ending to the programme will be the demonstration of four Russian Ministry of Defence warplanes (SU-35s, MiG-31bm) over the waters of Ajax Bay.
