The announcement has been made by Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation at the Made in Russia Forum.
Aside from successful exporters, representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Business Russia, OPORA RUSSIA also joined the council.
“We expect the government and the business community members to come up with solutions to improve competitiveness of Russian-made non-commodity and non-energy products, as well as development and improvement of business environment,” said Mr. Mishustin.
Veronika Nikishina, CEO of the Russian Export Center emphasized that the discussion took a practical turn. “Members of the government noted the things that concerned Russian exporters. It is very valuable for us that Mr. Mishustin attended today’s event. He set the tone for the discussion. The government needs to hear the issues exporters have. Advice for government members will be made based on the questions worded by the exporters themselves,” said Ms. Nikishina. She added, that there will be a follow-up to the aforementioned questions.
