Four-time winner of Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Kristina Seredina took the first place of the At-Home Super League, an online burpee tournament organized by the Roscongress Foundation and Telesport Media. She did 43 burpees in a minute.

«I really liked organizers’ idea, as professional athletes are now going through a hard time deprived of what we love, without away tournaments and without competition due to the quarantine. Rugby players are missing the World Series, qualification for the Olympics and European Championship, this is really tough. But we completely understand that all these measures are for our own benefit. In rugby, we do burpees in the gym and as a punishment, but in general it is a very useful workout for rugby players. I enjoyed watching girls representing different sports. They all did a great job, but I especially admire mothers among them. I want to thank organizers and referees for this unity, for competition and good vibes. They spark our hearts and motivate us to keep on working. I wish you all health and hope that we will beat the pandemic very soon!» said Kristina Seredina.

Four athletes managed to do 42 burpees: 2016 Olympic medallist in freestyle wrestling Valeria Koblova, 2019 World Snowboarding Championship medallist Natalia Soboleva, medallist of European Figure Skating Championships Anna Shcherbakova and prize-winner of Snowboard World Cup Yulia Kanakina.

The day before holder of European Nations Cup in free style wrestling Murad Nukhkadiev won the men’s tournament with 41 burpees in a minute. Olympic Judo Champion Arsen Galstyan took the second place with 38 burpees, and two-time luge World Champion Roman Repilov was third with 37 burpees.

The broadcast of the At-Home Super League that featured reputed representatives of 16 sports had over 1 million views on Odnoklassniki and Vkontakte social networks. «This shows a great potential of the format that can be presented as a modern online product. But the tournament would not be possible without the support by Russian national team leaders and heads of sports federations. We have made the At-Home Super League together, and there are no losers, only winners. Today athletes bear more responsibility, as they not only have to take care of their own health and their families, but also train for the season and be role models. I am sure that very soon we will watch them at sports arenas and be proud of their new achievements,» noted Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Georgy Bryusov.
