The
Innosocium Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation, is
conducting ongoing work to attract new partners as part of the #WeAreTogether
mutual assistance campaign. Mars has joined the ranks of companies that are
providing free aid to people in need.
The
national #WeAreTogether campaign was launched by the All-Russia Peoples Front
with the support of the Roscongress Foundation, the Association of Volunteer
Centres, the Medical Volunteers National Public Volunteer Movement in
Healthcare , the Constitution Volunteers, and Rostelecom, and aims to support
senior citizens, people with limited mobility, and medical employees during the
coronavirus pandemic.
As part
of the first stage of support, Mars provided 32 tonnes of essential goods,
including food and pet food, through the Rus Food Fund to support volunteers,
physicians, and people in need in the Moscow, Voronezh, and Kaluga Regions. The
food included:
16
tonnes of SNICKERS® and TWIX® chocolate bars, A.KORKUNOV® chocolates, ORBIT®
gum, and DOLMIO® sauces were provided to pensioners and other needy groups of
the population;

to pet shelters;
More
than 23,000 chocolate bars and chewing gum (BE-KIND™, TWIX®, SNICKERS®,
A.KORKUNOV®, and ORBIT®) were sent to the Mosvolonter Resource Centre.
In
addition to helping with the #WeAreTogether campaign, the company provided
support and delivered over 16,000 BE-KIND™ bars to medical staff in Moscow, while
the company Royal Canin launched a social project for dog walking together with
Beethoven pet stores and
the #WalktheDog volunteer movement.
«We
thank our partners and Mars for their support. In times of crisis, support from
companies of this magnitude is an invaluable contribution and an example of how
large players can help stabilize the situation in the country. We plan to scale
up our cooperation and hope that this will serve as a positive example for
other market players,» said Elena Marinina, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress
Foundation and Director of the Innosocium Fund.
«Mars
supports the communities in which we live and work, globally and locally.
During such difficult times, helping the heroes who are battling this pandemic
and those who need support, attention, and care is our shared mission. The
assistance programme in Russia is part of the global initiative of Mars,
Incorporated as part of assistance equivalent to USD 20 million will be
provided to combat coronavirus. We are confident that we can achieve
significant results by working together with our partners and other
participants in the business community,» President of Mars in Russia Valery
Shchapov said.
