Foreign visitors and participants in the St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum from 53 countries will be able to apply
for e-visas to enter Russia. The procedure for obtaining e-visas was
established in accordance with Resolution No. 1252 of the Government of the
Russian Federation dated 26 September 2019.
«Simplifying the procedure for entering Russia not only
creates tourism but also business opportunities for foreign citizens. SPIEF
events are annually attended by guests from more than 140 countries. Now our
regular participants from 53 countries will be able to plan their trips more
flexibly. This is an important step to improve the business climate and enhance
the countrys appeal», said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the Russian President
and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
To obtain an e-visa, you must complete an application
on a special section of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website at: evisa.kdmid.ru. The e-visa is single-entry and is valid for 30
calendar days from the issue date. People on e-visas are allowed to stay in the
Russian Federation for 8 days within the visa validity period from the date of
entry.
Applications for e-visas can be completed no earlier
than 20 days and no later than 4 days prior to the expected date of entry into
the Russian Federation. E-visa applications are considered within 4 days or
less. A notification on the issuance of an e-visa to a foreign citizen must be
printed so that it can be provided to the carrier company and Russian border
service officials when passing through passport control.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to
remind Forum participants who are planning to obtain e-visas about the need to
comply with all the provisions on the evisa.kdmid.ru website for the completion of the e-visa application
as well as the ability to leave the Russian Federation with an e-visa only
through the state border checkpoints of the Russian Federation located in the
city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region that are listed on the website.
Foreign citizens who have arrived in the city of St.
Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on e-visas may only stay in and travel
around the territory of these constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will
take place on 36 June 2020.
