The 11th Europe + Asia Event Forum in St.
Petersburg presented several books on the event industry. The latest ones
include volume one of the Event Management Encyclopaedia dedicated to offline
conventions and the Global and Russian Event Safety Recommendations, A
Dictionary of Key Terms and Concepts in the Event Industry.
“The Roscongress Foundation boasts a vast
experience in organizing large-scale conventions, exhibitions and business
events that bring together thousands of participants. The coronavirus pandemic
has changed all spheres of our life, which has become the new normal. We are
happy to share our event management tips, recommendations and lifehacks with
industry peers,” said Alexander Stuglev, CEO and Chairman of the Roscongress
Foundation.
Offline Conventions is volume one of the
Event Management Encyclopaedia. Other volumes will cover online conventions,
exhibitions, and cultural and sporting events. Thus, the Encyclopaedia will
become the most comprehensive scholarly and practical material on event
management. Volume one was authored by CEO and Chairman of the Roscongress
Foundation Alexander Stuglev and Adviser for the Roscongress Foundation
Methodological Support Slava Khodko, who compiled it with the same perspective
in mind.
The Global and Russian Event Safety
Recommendations, A Dictionary of Key Terms and Concepts in the Event Industry
was published as part of the Exhibition R&D Centre Library series (fifth
edition). The book offers an overview of best global and Russian practices to
ensure the safety of business event participants. It also covers the role of
event safety for the planet as a whole, i.e. the impact of conventions and
organizations on the environment. The dictionary includes best practices of the
leading Russian and international associations, companies and experts involved
in event industry. Alexey Valkov, Director of the St. Petersburg International
Economic Forum and Igor Ognev, Head of IT Systems Development, Accreditation,
Access Control and Logistics Directorate contributed to the Dictionary. It was
published by the Exhibition R&D Centre R&C with support from the
Roscongress Foundation and SVEKO.
Both editions address recommendations and
instructions of international health organizations, international and national
event industry associations, and government agencies. They will help college
students and teachers, as well representatives of related industries learn more
about event industry theory and use it.
