The Roscongress Foundation and the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce held
a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement at the Russian-British Business
Forum V in London on 27 November 2019. The document was signed by Roscongress
Foundation CEO and Chairman of the Board Alexander Stuglev and Chairman of the
Board of Directors of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Roscongress
Foundation Supervisory Board Roger Mannings.
«Roscongress is a key organisation in the presentation of Russian business
and the Russian economy to the world. RBCC is delighted to be signing an MOU
with them. The MOU will solidify the already excellent working relationship
which RBCC has with Roscongress and we are pleased to be working in greater
depth with this important and influential organisation with all the
opportunities and information this will bring for British companies investing
in and trading with the Russian Federation and for Russian companies doing
business in the UK» Roger Mannings said.
One of the main goals of the cooperation agreement is to establish
effective communication between the business communities of the Russian
Federation and the United Kingdom in a number of areas. Such collaboration will
focus in particular on maintaining a dialogue on issues involving cooperation
in the investment and financial sector as well as export-import activities.
«The document we have signed will expand the boundaries of cooperation and
bolster business relations between the Russian Federation and the United
Kingdom. Thanks to the agreement, we will be able to collaborate even more
actively with our British partners, including when preparing for and holding
key events organized by the Roscongress Foundation» Stuglev said.
The Roscongress Foundation and
the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce plan to jointly develop common global
communication platforms with a focus on energy, the economy, and social issues
in order to step up interstate cooperation in various sectors and also to help
strengthen existing partnerships between representatives of Russian and UK
business communities and to search for and develop new long-term partnerships.
