Regional Officials to Discuss Effective Ways to Improve Labour Indicators

Эффективные практики регионов в части повышения трудовых показателей обсудят в Москве

The heads of the representative offices of Russia’s regions will consider the most effective practices to improve labour indicators at a meeting in Moscow on 16 October. The agenda includes real success stories and ways to replicate them. The meeting will take place at 15:00 at the Roscongress Foundation.

An expert group from the regions will hold a meeting titled ‘Improving Labour Productivity — Best Regional Practices’, which will involve a comprehensive discussion of successful business models. The regional representatives will conduct a detailed analysis of the most effective development strategies using real cases of Russian companies as an example.

«Such meetings aim to bring the best practices to the regions and scale them. It is important for the regions not to compete among themselves, but, on the contrary, to spread this knowledge and share it. Support from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development takes the project to the federal level,» Roscongress Foundation CEO and Chairman of the Board Alexander Stuglev said.

The expert group aims to create conditions for the exchange of experience and a constructive dialogue between the regions of the Russian Federation.

«This format of meetings above all is an opportunity for the regions to find out what their neighbours are doing in terms of implementing national projects. The regional representatives will get together to select and replicate best practices. The third expert group meeting is coming up. We have already discussed export issues and development strategies for small and medium-sized businesses. The upcoming meeting of the regional expert group will be devoted to the theme,» said Denis Saly, head of the Kaliningrad Region’s representative office in Moscow.

Any region of the Russian Federation that can apply the experience of its fellow constituent entities, taking into account federal, regional, and municipal laws and regulations in force in the territory, can become a region in which technologies for increasing labour indicators can be applied.

«I think such meetings are a great way to achieve quick victories. Without inventing anything new, you can take and use ready-made, tested, and effective practices,» Deputy Prime Minister of Udmurtia Mikhail Khomich said.

Following the meeting, analytical materials containing relevant business strategies will be sent to the heads of the federal executive bodies, regional leaders, and other interested organizations.
