Vladivostok
International Airport reports its readiness for guests and participants of the
5th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). With the support of the Roscongress
Foundation, the air harbour of Primorye has been preparing to welcome the Forum
delegates with accreditation points and a group of volunteers.
For the fifth time,
Vladivostok Airport is the gateway to a high-profile business event of the Far
East, the Eastern Economic Forum, which runs from 4 to 6 September in
Vladivostok. This year, the new official mascot of the airport welcomes the
guests and participants of the Forum the Far Eastern
leopard Khors. The bronze figure is located at the terminal square.
To provide high-quality
services to guests and participants of the EEF, the Primorye airport conducted
a comprehensive technological systems readiness check. Airport and technical
equipment, as well as airfield infrastructure were tested. All structural
divisions are in increased activity mode of operation; additional personnel are
called on duty.
Starting 31 August, for
the convenience of guests and Forum participants, the Roscongress Foundation
placed accreditation points, registration desks and all necessary navigation in
the terminal. Volunteers are also there to provide high-quality service to the
Forum participants.
This year, the Forum
expects to welcome more than six thousand participants from Russia and around
the world. To date, more than 70 business flights have been declared for
arrival. Delegates from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, India, Mongolia,
Malaysia, and Singapore have confirmed their EEF participation. Notably, all
regular flights and passenger services are to follow their daily schedule.
The Eastern Economic
Forum has been taking place in Primorye annually since 2015 to attract foreign
investments to the Russian Far East and foster economic cooperation in the Asia
Pacific. The Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island is the
Forum venue.
