The economic and social development of Siberia and the Far East will be a topic of discussion during the regional stage of the Community Forum in Ulan-Ude, which on 30 May will include a regional session under the auspices of the Eastern Economic Forum on the integration of the Republic of Buryatia into the economic space of the Far East. The event will be attended by representatives of the regional authorities, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the business community, and non-profit organizations.
The session participants will discuss the Far East National Development Programme. All levels of government and residents of the Far East have been involved in the preparation of the National Programme. The special portal dv2025.rf collected 88,000 proposals from residents of 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.
The event will feature an exhibition titled ‘Local economic development success stories in the regions of the Far East’ as well as an exhibition of major social projects implemented in the Far Eastern Federal District with the support of regional business and grant programmes. Participants will discuss issues related to human capital, culture, the health of the nation, regional development, and social control during workshops and roundtables over the course of two days.
Key issues to be discussed include national projects and breakthrough solutions for socio-economic development, ways to support small business in Buryatia, and the implementation of projects within advanced special economic zones.
