Победителей XVI Всероссийского конкурса «Моя страна – моя Россия» объявят на ПМЭФ-2019

The award ceremony for winners of the All-Russian My Country — My Russia youth project contest for regional development will be held at SPIEF 2019.

The contest has been held since 2003 and is aimed at students, youth educators, specialists, community leaders, and creators of youth initiatives aged between 14 and 35. Since 2019, the Contest has been included in the Russia — a Land of Opportunity open platform project list, created at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Contest nominations cover a whole range of issues related to the socio-economic development of the Russian territories.

«Contest participants include young people from every region of the Russian Federation, people occupying an active and responsible position regarding the resolution of local socio-economic problems in the development of the territories and the strengthening of the national unity and integrity of Russia. SPIEF was not a random choice for announcing the winners and holding the awards ceremony. SPIEF is a territory of dialogue and communication, and I am sure that participation in Forum events will serve as an invaluable experience and a weighty addition to the Contest winners’ main prizes», Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev said.

«The My Country — My Russia contest definitely helps create the conditions needed for encouraging socially significant social activity among young people. It has become a gathering point for young people motivated to play an active part in the life and development of our country. The projects of Contest participants are not only aimed at shaping the image of the future of Russia but also contribute to the promotion of social mobility and create opportunities for the personal and professional self-fulfilment of the youth of our country in various fields of activity», Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov said to Contest participants in his Welcoming Speech.

My Country — My Russia project coordinator Larisa Pastukhova believes that holding the contest awards ceremony at SPIEF 2019 can provide participants with an additional incentive for personal development and the development of their projects: «The opportunity to talk about your project at this forum, which brings political, economic, and social leaders together, is a source of inspiration and new ideas for our participants and winners and a possible foundation for the future integration of My Country — My Russia contest projects with larger-scale initiatives. Our task is to show the winners of the contest in a meaningful way that their victory here is only the beginning of a long journey and development».

The My Country — My Russia contest is organized by the Youth Socio-Economic Initiatives All-Russian Union of Public Associations, the Russia — a Land of Opportunity Non-Commercial Organization, and the Russian Academy of Education. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, the Roscongress Foundation, the Znanie Russian Society, the National Training Foundation, and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) among others.
