The Roscongress Foundation and the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) state corporation signed an agreement at the Russian Investment Forum on 14 February on assistance in finding and attracting specialized investors for the sale of assets managed by the DIA.
The parties intend to organize an effective information exchange. In particular, joint events will be held on the sidelines of forums and congresses organized by the Foundation along with joint educational and outreach events for potential investors, where they can learn about the procedure for taking part in tenders held by the DIA. The state corporation will provide information on potentially interesting facilities, while the Roscongress Foundation will use its regional and international partner network to search for buyers.
Roscongress Foundation Director Alexander Stuglev noted that «the agreement help to increase investment potential and appeal and also solve socially important issues faced by the regions of the Russian Federation».
«At present, the Deposit Insurance Agency is selling assets with a total book value of more than RUB 4.5 trillion. These include numerous facilities that can find their investor and turn into a promising and successful business. Our cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation will certainly contribute to this process», DIA General Director Yury Isayev said.
The day after the agreement was signed, Stuglev and Isayev will hold a meeting at the Roscongress Club during the Russian Investment Forum at which the leaders will hold detailed discussions about measures to attract investors to facilities managed by the DIA.
