The Roscongress Foundation and the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society (WEFCOS) have concluded a memorandum of understanding, which was signed at an official signing ceremony on 16 November 2018 in Paris during the WEFCOS Global Meeting. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO for Socio-Economic Agenda Elena Marinina and WEFCOS Managing Director Chiara Corazza.
The main focus of the agreement is cooperation between the two organizations in promoting the development of the international women’s community, while also seeking to strengthen international socio-cultural relations and cooperation among women at the global level to solve acute social problems by organizing and holding joint events.
The memorandum of understanding signed by the Roscongress Foundation and WEFCOS also lays the groundwork for the signing of an agreement on the two organizations’ cooperation regarding the holding of joint events in the coming year.
«For the Roscongress Foundation, the signing of this agreement opens up new prospects for cooperation at a global level and makes a significant contribution to expanding the scope of the Roscongress social platform, which was created in 2017 in order to promote socially significant projects and facilitate the development of a dialogue between the government, business, society, representatives of the non-profit sector, and the media», said Roscongress Foundation Director Alexander Stuglev.

The document that has been signed is essential to building a joint dialogue and eliminating key barriers that prevent women from realizing their creative, entrepreneurial, and managerial potential in various sectors of the economy,» said Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO for Socio-Economic Agenda Еlena Marinina said.

The WEFCOS Global Meeting of female leaders is held each year in Paris in autumn, and attended by over a thousand participants — both women and men — who come together to discuss current challenges in the economic, political, and public spheres, propose innovative and specific solutions, and promote ideas of equality and cultural diversity in the business world.
