Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution on the new
members of the State commission on Tourism Development in Russia. Roscongress
Foundation Deputy CEO and Director of the Russian Tourism Forum ‘Travel!’
Vladimir Zatynayko has joined the commission. The new members were approved by
Directive No. 4226-r of the Russian Government dated 26 December 2022.
Other commission members include: Minister of Economic Development Maxim
Reshetnikov; Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov, who
oversees tourism; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexey Bezprozvannykh;
OPORA Russia President Alexander Kalinin; Deputy Minister of Digital
Development Oleg Kachanov; Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education
Pyotr Kucherenko; Deputy Minister of Culture Nadezhda Prepodobnaya; Russian
Union of Travel Industry President Ilya Umansky; and Chairman of the Council of
the Sirius Federal Territory Yelena Shmeleva. In addition, the heads and acting
heads of new Russian territories and the governors and heads of the Vladimir,
Ryazan, Tambov, Tomsk, Kirov, and Saratov Regions and the Republic of Mari El
became commission members.
“Tourism in Russia is taking on a new life today. All institutions are
working to develop the industry, from representatives of major commercial
companies to the authorities at various levels. The Russian Tourism Forum ‘Travel!’
is a young, but successful project. In addition to the event component, its
ecosystem includes other platforms for innovative proposals in the tourism
sector. And the administrative, informational, and resource base that has been
formed over the years of the forum will be useful both for government officials
and businesses, and, of course, for all travellers, regardless of the range of
their interests,” Zatynayko said.
The Russian Tourism Forum ‘Travel!’ will be held for the third time in
2023 on 8–11 June at Moscow’s All-Russian Exhibition Centre. The forum is being
organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
The forum is an ambitious event that provides a platform for business
networking between the state and businesses in order to discuss key issues in
the industry and the first tourism festival in Russia for a target audience.
The entire range of tourism opportunities offered by the Russian regions
and foreign countries will be presented at the ‘Travel!’ forum, from well-known
routes to formats that are rapidly gaining popularity, such as road trips. The
investment appeal of Russia’s regions and infrastructure solutions in tourism
and hospitality will play an important role in the forum’s programme and
exposition.
