On 5 and 6 July the International CybesecurityCongress 2018 (ICC) organized by PAO Sberbank with the support of the Roscongress Foundation, ANO Digital Economy and the Association of Russian Banks, will take place in the Congress Centre of the World Trade Centre in Moscow. The Congress is to become an international and cross-sector platform that provides for a global dialogue between government officials, world business leaders and key experts on the most critical and pressing issues of cybersecurity in the context of globalization and digitalization.

Plenary sessions ‘Transparent digital world — a trap or a blessing?’ moderated by the CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of PAO Sberbank Herman Gref, and ‘Do we have the chance to make the transitional world safer?’ moderated by the former Founding Editor-in-chief of WIRED UK David Rowan, are the central events of the business programme of the International Cybersecurity Congress.

Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov noted the importance of the International Cybersecurity Congress. «Essential cybersecurity developers, key industry decision makers and those shaping the future of the world will come together for the first time in Russia. I am confident that regular meetings of this format are to contribute to a deeper analysis of issues in this area and the search for their solutions.»

Representatives of the federal government of the Russian Federation, executives of major Russian and international companies, vendors of cybersecurity products and services, as well as acknowledged cybersecurity experts will take part in panel sessions of the Congress. Among the key topics of the event are the fight against organized cybercrime, cyber risks in the era of digital transformation, strategies for identifying and securing confidential information, with special priority given to the block chain and information security technologies, as well as fake news and its reasons.

«In the recent years, the growth of cybercrime has become one of the major global risks,» said Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank. «We are certain that a successful fight against cybercrime is subject to effective international governmental and private economic cooperation, as well as the joint efforts of law enforcement agencies. Sberbank has initiated the platform that is to help pool forces to counter cybercrime and give a new momentum to global cooperation in this area.»

Over 1,000 industry experts are expected to attend the International Cybersecurity Congress.
