The jubilee 5th Russian Energy Week International Forum will be held in Moscow (Manege Exhibition Hall) on 12–14 October under the slogan ‘Global Energy in a Multipolar World’. The business programme of the Forum will consist of about 40 business events grouped into 6 tracks: ‘Global Markets: Cooperation for Development’; ‘Technological Sovereignty and Digital Transformation’; ‘New Solutions for the Fuel and Energy Sector’; ‘Social Focus’; ‘Ecology and climate agenda’; ‘International Meetings. Two international awards will be presented at the Forum. The Russian Energy Week 2022 will conclude with the Youth Day.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak emphasized: «The global energy community is frequently faced with the issues of stable energy supply, reliable supply chains, new growing demand regions, and others. The Russian Energy Week International Forum will bring together players of the global oil market and CIS electric energy partner to address the most pressing development issues of the global energy industry. The Forum will become the platform for dialogue with our foreign partners and for discussion of the future technological development and climate agenda. It will no exaggeration to say that over the past five years Russian Energy Week has turned into a much-anticipated events for leading representatives of the fuel and energy industry from all over the world. I am confident that this year the Forum programme will stay important for Russian market players, foreign guests, experts, and media.»
Russian and international representatives of the industry, government authorities and the business community will traditionally gather in Moscow to discuss a wide range of issues on the global energy agenda, analyse the current situation in international markets, share future forecasts and find solutions to the most pressing issues facing the industry today.
Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Russian Energy Week 2022 Organizing Committee, said: «Cooperation between states is an important principle for any development, especially in the current situation of a global international crisis. A large part of the programme is therefore devoted to the international agenda. International meetings are scheduled, among them: the 61st meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council, and the Annual Meeting of the BRICS Energy Research Platform. The issue of sustainable development of Russia—Africa relations will not be ignored either.»
In addition, as part of Russian Energy Week 2022, the Global Energy International Prize will be awarded for outstanding research and scientific and technical developments that contribute to improving the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources on Earth in the interests of all mankind. There will also be an awards ceremony for the winners of the Energy of Word International Journalism Prize. The purpose of the prize is to encourage journalists, columnists and experts who write about the most pressing issues of modern energy, including the transformation of the global energy balance, the development of new technologies and climate change.
The Russian Energy Week International Forum will traditionally bring together industry representatives, authorities, the business community, and experts ready to discuss current trends in the development of the modern fuel and energy complex and find the necessary solutions to key industry issues.
