«The year 2022 is special for us: we
celebrate the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Yakut ASSR.
The century-long history of the Republic is an amazing feat of generations of
Yakut people who transformed these boundless harsh lands. Today, we are setting
goals for moving forward in the coming century. Yakutia is already one of the
strategically important regions of Russia, an economic, scientific, and
educational centre of the Arctic and the Far East. The Republic is among the
top ten leaders in the country in terms of economic growth rates. The goal we
are moving towards is the development of Yakutia as a centre of attraction of
talents and knowledge, a centre of new technologies and new industry, a place
for self-fulfilment of every person. See you at the pavilion of Yakutia!» noted
the Governor of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolayev.
