Аэропорт Пулково готовится к работе в дни проведения ПМЭФ-2022

Every year during SPIEF, Pulkovo Airport receives tens of thousands of passengers, including Forum guests and participants. Many of them arrive in St. Petersburg on scheduled flights from Moscow.

For the duration of the Forum, extra staff will be on hand at Pulkovo Airport to keep things running smoothly, and security measures will also be strengthened at the air harbor. For example, a vehicle checkpoint will be set up at the entrance to Pulkovo for inspection of vehicles entering the airport. With this in mind, passengers need to allow plenty of extra time to check-in and pass through security.

"This year, Pulkovo will once again welcome SPIEF participants. As always, preparations for the event have been made in cooperation with all concerned government bodies and law enforcement agencies, but it is also very important to keep in mind the sanitary and epidemiological safety requirements for flights. Pulkovo Airport has taken an unprecedented set of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

This year, private aircrafts with the Forum participants will be received in cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation. If there is no air connection between the country of departure and Russia, the organizer of the transportation has to send a request to the Roscongress Foundation to gain permission to land.

Regardless of whether there are direct flights between the country of departure and Russia, all participants arriving in St. Petersburg by private aircraft must submit an official request directly to Pulkovo Airport to book the landing slot and gain permission to land.

"Pulkovo Airport has extensive experience in serving participants and guests who are passing through to visit major economic, sport, cultural and other public events. This year, special attention is being paid to aviation and transport security, compliance with antiepidemic measures. At the same time, politeness and ensuring the most comfortable conditions for both our passengers and the operation of airlines remain a priority in the work of our employees," said Leonid Sergeev, Chief Executive Officer, Northern Capital Gateway.

It should be reminded that the 25th anniversary of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on 15–18 June 2022.
