The All Renewable World Energy Congress & Expo (ARWE 2022), which will be held in Rostov-on-Don from 18 to 21 May 2022, has presented the main tracks on its business programme. Over 30 business events will take place at the Forum, which is set to become one of the key events covering the climate agenda and low-carbon development in Russia. The Organizing Committee for the Congress & Expo will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. ARWE 2022 will take place with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The organizers are the Roscongress Foundation, the Russia Renewable Energy Development Association (RREDA), the Government of Rostov Region and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation
The ARWE 2022 business programme will be structured around three main areas: ‘Developing Low-Carbon and Renewable Energy: Global Policy and State Support in Russia’, ‘Technology Development, Localization and Export of Machinery, and Integrating Renewables into Russia’s Energy Grid’, and ‘Business and Society: Developing ESG Principles and Responsible Consumption’.
Speakers expected to attend the Congress & Expo include co-chair of the Russia Renewable Energy Development Association and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International Organizations to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals Anatoly Chubais, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Francesco La Camera, CEO of SolarPower Europe Walburga Hemetsberger, Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council Angela Wilkinson, and First Deputy General Director and Director of the Development and International Business Unit of Rosatom and co-chair of the Russia Renewable Energy Development Association Kirill Komarov.
Public discussions attended by proponents of renewable energy development in Russia and abroad as well as high-profile experts will mark a new step for the business programme. All speakers at the public discussions will be able to engage directly with the audience.

The Forum will bring together leading specialists, experts and representatives of major companies and governments to develop strategies, share experiences, present renewable energy projects and identify the best possible solutions,” said Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International Organizations to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals Anatoly Chubais.
Chubais also highlighted the exhibition of cutting-edge technologies and low-carbon energy equipment taking place at the All Renewable World Energy Congress & Expo, where leading companies will present their most promising renewable energy developments and technological solutions.
Holding the event in Rostov Region will highlight the important role of regional policy in Russia’s federal subjects in implementing the country’s low-carbon development strategy. The Forum’s core objectives are to facilitate the discussion and development of key issues concerning legal and technical regulation, technological trends, approaches to popularizing low-carbon economic development and the role of renewable and hydrogen energy in low-carbon development.
The ‘Experience Natural Energy’ festival will take place on the left bank of the Don on 21 May 2022 under the auspices of the Forum. Residents and visitors to Rostov-on-Don are welcome to join representatives of the professional renewable energy community in attendance at the Festival.
