The Perm Region is located at the junction of Europe and Asia, in the Urals.

The economy of the Perm Region is mainly industrial, the share of industry in GRP is more than 40%. A number of high-tech industries are concentrated in the region: factories for the production of equipment for helicopters, information transmission and navigation systems, fiber-optic systems, chemical products, oilfield and gas pumping equipment, rocket fuels, magnesium and titanium alloys.

The Perm Region is one of the largest transport hubs in Russia, located at the intersection of the railway line from Europe to Asia and has access to the waterway in the direction of the five seas. The region has road exits to all neighboring regions.

The dominant economic activities of the region are:

  • chemicals and petrochemicals;
  • mechanical engineering;
  • food industry;
  • forest industry;
  • light industry.

The Perm Region is a dynamically developing region, where it is comfortable and profitable for companies of any scale to conduct business. The industrial power of the region, its resource base, transport accessibility, a rich sales market of 2.6 million inhabitants, together with a developed business support infrastructure, create favorable conditions for investment activities.

The regional development strategy is aimed at ensuring the inflow of investments in the region of more than 350 billion rubles and the development of innovative entrepreneurship.
