The Vladimir region is located in the central part of the East European Plain. It borders on the Moscow, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, and Yaroslavl regions.
Raw materials: peat, carbonate rocks, quartz sand, clays, metallurgical dolomite.
Agricultural lands occupy 38% of the region’s territory. The main crops are cereals, industrial, fodder, potatoes, vegetables. A special place is occupied by flax crops. Gardening is well developed. Specialization of animal ( Livestock specialization) husbandry-breeding of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats. The Vladimir breed of heavy-duty horses was bred.
