Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region, announced the results of the first quarter on the key economic indicator for the region - investments in fixed capital.

«According to the results of work for the first quarter, the Samara Region attracted investments in fixed assets at the level of 63.9 billion rubles, exceeding the figures for the first quarter of last year, which was a record one in terms of growth dynamics (more than 56% or 57.6 billion rubles), which confirms the high rates of economic development. Our task is to continue, together with the largest enterprises in the region, small and medium-sized businesses, to maintain this pace and develop business, using new niches and ensuring stable development of the economy», - the minister said.

The main volumes of investments are aimed at the development of manufacturing industries, in the extraction of minerals, the electric power industry, transport and communications. Investments in manufacturing industries are concentrated mainly in chemical production, oil refining and automotive industry, production of vehicles and equipment.

Large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented in the region, including the construction of a bridge across the Volga River, the launch of a railway line to the Togliatti Special Economic Zone, which will give a new impetus to the development of this preferential territory and will help attract new investors.

As a result of the implementation of investment projects, by the end of 2022, it is planned to open more than 20 new production facilities in the Samara region.

An important tool in the implementation of projects and business support in the region is the Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region. The Agency works with the initiators of investment projects on the principle of "one stop shop", providing all the necessary information about possible support measures, assisting in resolving all issues that arise in the process of project implementation.

«Work on the investment climate in the Samara region is an absolute priority. The recently published National Rating of Administrative Pressure, where the region once again showed good growth dynamics, rising from 34th to 22nd place over the year, is the result of the painstaking work of our governor, the Government of the region, an important role in cooperation with the departments of Rostrud, Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rosprirodnadzor, Rostekhnadzor, Rosselkhoznadzor and GZhI were played by the regional prosecutor's office and personally the prosecutor of the Samara region Sergey Berizhitsky. Thanks to an independent assessment of the experts of the National Rating, we clearly see how the administrative burden on business is being reduced», - Dmitry Bogdanov added.
