Engineering Center «Applied Mechanics» has developed a laser machine with numerical control (CNC) for metal cutting. The company is a pioneer in this field at the national level. The LS-30 Sputnik laser machine is manufactured in Togliatti and is a modular platform with an individual design solution.
The creation of a laser machine is a natural step in the development of Applied Mechanics. The center has a successful experience in the development, production and replication of plasma cutting machines of the Plasmacroy trademark. The machines are designed and assembled at our own production facility in Togliatti. More than 550 units of products have been sold to customers in Russia and the CIS countries.
The company has been a resident of the Zhigulevskaya Dolina technopark since 2020, and in 2021 it received the status of a participant in the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
As Governor Dmitry Azarov noted at a meeting of the headquarters for improving the stability of the region's economy on March 14, in the current conditions, maximum efforts must be made to ensure that enterprises and labor collectives continue to work.
To this end, anti-crisis support measures are being approved at the federal and regional levels: financial, tax, sectoral, and also helping to reduce the administrative burden on business.
“Local enterprises capable of providing the regional and even the Russian market with high-quality, competitive products are coming to the fore today. This is especially true for high-tech businesses that are ready to offer their own developments for the needs of the industry. Our key task today is to help enterprises restructure their work taking into account new demands and market needs, as well as comprehensively support them for further stable operation and retention of employment,” said Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region.
At present, the Applied Mechanics Engineering Center mass-produces three lines of CNC plasma machines, and is preparing for the mass production of laser machines. In addition, it intensively masters the production of various additional equipment for machine tools.
Over the years, a number of company solutions have been patented and awarded a prize in the Golden Mercury 2021 competition.
«Our team is implementing several import substitution projects at once. This is a successful production of plasma and now laser CNC metal cutting machines. But besides this, we are developing our own software and hardware complex G-Nom. This development will allow the use of domestic software in the field of machine tool building and eliminate dependence on the external market. As residents of Skolkovo and Zhigulevskaya Dolina, we have formed our own GR department, which is ready to help other industries in obtaining grants and assistance from the state», - commented Anton Borzaev, director of Applied Mechanics LLC.
Residents of the Zhigulevskaya Dolina technopark today are about 270 innovative companies that implement 285 projects that affect the transformation of the region's economy.
