Today, April 22, the Yandex Market logistics center was opened in Preobrazhenka industrial park. The new complex will allow storing goods, packing orders and delivering them throughout the Volga Federal District. Local sellers can now entrust the service with the storage and delivery of goods, and residents can receive orders the next day after ordering. 200 jobs have already been created at the site of the center, and the company plans to employ another 450 residents of the region at the facility. With the opening of a new warehouse, delivery times for customers have been reduced by an average of 2 days.
Dmitry Bogdanov , Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region, took part in the opening ceremony of the new logistics hub.
“A large, modern Yandex center has launched its work in the Preobrazhenka industrial park. Now residents of the Samara region will be able to receive most of the items within one day. This center is not only a service for product consumers, it is a conducting chain for small and medium-sized businesses. The company removes all restrictions for them - the warehouse is ready to accept minimum lots, from one unit of the product. This is a unique opportunity for small companies that find it difficult to enter the markets of other regions ,” said Dmitry Bogdanov. -More and more investors are choosing industrial parks in the region to implement their projects, and we are developing a network of these sites. More than 5.5 thousand jobs have already been created in Preobrazhenka, and active construction is already underway in the second stage of the industrial park. The company has invested more than 500 million rubles in the new facility. This logistics center is one of the largest in the Volga Federal District: the total area of the facility is more than 30 thousand square meters. m. Here you can store up to 2.5 million goods of different categories and sizes, as well as process up to 180 thousand parcels per day. From the center, orders reach customers in the Volga Federal District in 1-3 days.
“Market's new logistics facility allows local businesses to increase their online sales. Now local stores can entrust the service with logistics and sell goods across the country. By the launch of the center, we also agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Opora Rossii organization in order to work out additional measures for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region , ”says Evgeny Terentyev , head of Yandex Market in the Volga Federal District.
Several hundred local specialists are already working at the facility, by the end of the year their number may increase as the center develops. With the launch of a large logistics hub in the Samara region, additional jobs may also appear in companies that are engaged in transportation, trade and servicing sellers on marketplaces.
Representatives of the investor company gave Dmitry Bogdanov a tour of the logistics center, demonstrated the procedure for placing and packing orders. In honor of the grand opening of the warehouse, the minister signed a postcard for one of the users of the service. The warehouse employees packed it together with the order, noting that it would go to the Krasnoglinsky district of Samara.
According to the company, more than 400 stores from the region are now selling on the service. Most often, they go to the marketplace with goods from the categories: computers, electronics and household appliances, repair and auto goods, children's goods, FMCG, household goods. The turnover of one seller trading on the Market has increased 26 times since June. The number of local sellers with a turnover of over 100,000 rubles per month has tripled.
