Международный аэропорт Владивосток готов к встрече участников ВЭФ

Vladivostok International Airport has announced its readiness to welcome guests and participants of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum. All the necessary measures have been taken with the support of the Roscongress Foundation and Vladivostok airport, with accreditation points for Forum delegates now in operation and a team of volunteers in place.

This is the sixth time that Vladivostok International Airport will serve as the air gateway for the Eastern Economic Forum, a flagship business event for the Far East that will take place on 2–4 September in Vladivostok. This year, Forum guests and participants will be welcomed in full compliance with Rospotrebnadzor and World Health Organization safety measures and recommendations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19.

To ensure that EEF guests and participants receive a high-quality service, Vladivostok airport has carried out full performance checks on its technical infrastructure. Its special-purpose vehicles, technological equipment and airfield infrastructure have all been tested. Repair works have been carried out in the airport parking area and on a section of the airport access road. All of the organization’s operational units are now working at full capacity.

Accreditation points and registration stands for participants are now in operation at the airport with the support of the Roscongress Foundation for the convenience of guests and participants, with all the necessary signage installed. A team of volunteers is also on site, helping to provide a higher quality of service for Forum participants.

Around 4,000 attendees are expected at this year’s Forum, with 50 chartered business flights arranged to date. Delegates from South Korea, the USA, France, Japan and other nations have confirmed participation at EEF. It should be noted that all regular scheduled flights will run as normal during the Forum, and standard passenger services will be provided.

The Eastern Economic Forum has been held annually since 2015 in Primorye Territory to attract foreign investments to the Russian Far East and develop economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The Forum is held at the Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island.
