An agreement on strategic partnership between the Roscongress Foundation, Yandex and the Roscongress Foundation trading house has been signed in Moscow.
The partnership will allow the Roscongress Foundation to create a digital ecosystem aimed at growing its business events as well as improving trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in Russia and abroad, including through the Roscongress Foundation's partner network. The parties will also launch new projects from a joint project office.
The signatories to the agreement are CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev, CEO of Yandex in Russia Elena Bunina, COO of Yandex.Cloud Oleg Koverznev, and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation trading house Mikhail Sadchenkov.
The strategic partnership is the result of long preparations which began at the start of 2021. The Roscongress Foundation plans to make use of Yandex’s technologies and competencies from the outset in order to develop its own digital ecosystem and create new technical solutions for the development and promotion of Roscongress events, as well as projects aimed at promoting collaboration with the Roscongress partner network, which comprises 155 overseas business partners in 75 countries.
A key element of the agreement is the creation of a joint project office, where the key competencies of both parties will be combined and augmented. A list of potential projects and a plan for cooperation towards achieving mutually beneficial goals have been drawn up.
“Yandex is one of Russia’s top information companies and a leading developer of many goods and services. Accessing Yandex’s technological and information solutions will allow us to implement a wide range of digitalization projects. We have also made an agreement on support for our projects in the cultural and humanitarian sector, as well as in trade and economics, which we are implementing alongside our international partners from 155 organizations in 75 countries. Finally, we will support the development of a trading house to facilitate projects in Russian folk arts and crafts in cooperation with Sistema,” said Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev.
Yandex will also assist in the creation of software and information solutions based on its own technologies, as well as the rollout of a plan to support and develop the Roscongress Foundation’s Made in Russia business support system. This will include partnerships with Yandex services to increase awareness including through analytical research and the launch of joint projects and solutions on mutually beneficial terms.
