3 June 2021
На ПМЭФ выбрали топ-10 инновационных компаний в образовании

The results of the Top 10 Innovative Companies in Education competition were announced during a panel discussion on the innovative platform ‘Education of the Future: How Can We Capitalize on the Implementation of New Formats?’ at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021. The competition was organized by Business Priority, the Roscongress Foundation’s innovation platform, in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Ministry of Enlightenment and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The central theme of the session was educational innovations, which we can no longer imagine not having in modern education, what opportunities they offer, and what effect they might have in the future.

The finalists in the competition, which include promising Russian startups with the potential to scale to international markets, gave short pitches. It was telling that the participants not only included digital platforms and software products, but also projects with a significant hardware component: for example, a nanotechnology laboratory and a system for determining optimal neuro-trajectories.

«We have done a lot of work with the innovation sector and have studied hundreds of different startups during this time. In this case, it was especially important for us that the projects presented at the competition not only have strong business ideas and advanced developments, but also have major social importance. The future depends on new technologies in education,» Business Priority CEO Marianna Skragan said.

The winners of the competition are:

· Polygled— language video clubs for the development of foreign languages

· OTUS — a platform for the professional training of IT specialists

· NT-SPb — a nanotechnologies laboratory

· Innovations for children — a smart mirror for children’s speech development

The session moderator, Narek Sirakanyan, President of the international investment group Freedom Group International, gave a special report. He spoke about the prospects of e-sports as an educational discipline at schools and universities of the future.

Business Priority and NTI University 20.35 signed a cooperation agreement at the end of the session. The parties agreed to jointly introduce innovative educational products.
