Великая Победа: Фонд Росконгресс запускает концерт-марафон в диджитал формате

2 May 2020 media recourses of theRoscongress Foundation start hosting Songs of Victory, an online marathon concert. Over the first week of May, Russia’s popular musicians will present their one-of-a-kind at-home performances. The online marathon concert will mark the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and will conclude on the Victory Day. This project will involve famous theatre and film actors, bands, singers, and TV personalities. Each participant will present a war song: renowned ballads and marches, as well as legendary songs from Soviet films familiar to everyone in this country.

«This is a unique cultural event — a marathon concert to celebrate the Great Victory anniversary that will involve Russia’s most exciting performers and cultural figures. Today, in this peaceful, but complicated time it becomes even more important to stick together, support each other, and feel the team spirit. Music is a great spiritual power that — I am confident — can help people become more humane and better understand each other both in the time of hardship and in peaceful time. I am sure that a lot of viewers will enjoy our initiative,» shared Alexander Stuglev, CEO and Chairman of the Roscongress Foundation.

On 2 May, Roscongress will show performances of Yulia Zhdankova, the lead singer of the Rossiya Ensemble with a legendary song Valenki, Denis Klyaver who will sing Ballada O Kraskakh, and Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Sarukhanov. The programme of 3 May will offer Dmitry Koldun — a singer form Belarus — with a song Ot Geroyev Bylykh Vremen from the film Officers, Masha Veber with Katyusha — the unofficial anthem of the Great Patriotic War, and TV personality and public figure Oksana Pushkina. On 4 May, the audience will enjoy Alexander Marshal with the Tyomnaya Noch, Madina Kvaratskheliya, and Izumrud band. On 5 May, Roscongress will show Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Oleshko, People’s Artist of the Chechen Republic Sogdiana who will perform Siniy Platochek, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation and the Bolshoi Theatre’s lead singer Irina Dolzhenko, and Konstantin Grim, the lead singer of the Bratya Grim band. On 6 May, Uma2rman will perform Sluchainy Vals, a song from 1943, plus perfomances from the lead singer of Reflex Irina Nelson, and Zhuliki band. On 7 May, the concert will involve Helikon-Opera lead singer Dmitry Yankovsky, vocalist of the Marffa band Tatyana Inyushina, and lead singer of the Kombinatsiya band Tatyana Ivanova with a popular song Na Bezymyannoy Vysote from the film Silence. On 8 May, the audience will enjoy the legendary Samotsvety, Margarita Sukhankina from Mirazh, and the famous Pesnyary from Belorus.

On 9 May, the marathon concert will offer the leader of Neschastny Sluchay Alexey Kortnev, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Zara, and Alexander Oleshko. The project will conclude with a gala that will involve all the participants.

Argumenty i Fakty publishing house is the event’s information sponsor. 9 May on the Victory Day the first episode Children’s Book of War will premiere. The contemporary styled animated film is part of the series based on kids’ wartime diaries that AiF published in 2015. The first episode, centred on Tanya Rudykovskaya, a resident of the besieged Leningrad, is voiced by Tatyana Vasilyeva. School children from the town of Megion (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District) will read the diary excerpts written by their peers from the Children’s Book of War.

Additionally, the programme will feature performances by Darya Davydova, Bolshoi’s Invited Soloist, tenor Dmitry Galikhin, Oksana Fyodorova, and numerous greetings from various artists and politicians.

The launch day of the marathon concert is not a coincidence. Commemorative concerts are traditional for the Victory Day. On 2 May 1945, Lidiya Ruslanova gave a performance on the stairs of the torn apart Reichstag in Berlin. She sang her famous songs up until late in the night and received an order from the chest of Marshal Georgy Zhukov.

Songs of Victory, an online marathon concert will be released on Yandex.Efir, on the official electronic resources of the Roscongress Foundation: website, YouTube channel, Facebook group, on the website of the newspaper Argumenty I Fakty and digital resources of Telesport.
