The Roscongress
Foundation and GLONASS have signed an agreement on cooperation. The agreement
outlines the joint development and promotion, including on an international
level, of domestic competencies in the area of processing technologies for
telematic big data, as well as participation in the creation of digital
platforms for the transport sector. The two parties are also planning to join
forces and organize an industry fund to support innovative projects in
navigation and communication technologies, the Internet of things, artificial
intelligence, and microelectronics.
The
partnership will increase the production of high-tech and advanced navigation
and communication technologies and electronic manufacturing as a share of
domestic production in Russia, boost the number of organizations implementing
technological innovations in the field, and raise investment in scientific
research and cutting-edge developments in the industry. In addition to this,
the cooperation agreement is designed to increase the competitiveness of
domestic projects on the international stage and help to unlock the export
potential of the navigation and communication solutions receiving support.
The
document was signed by Chairman and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander
Stuglev and CEO of GLONASS Igor Milashevsky.

Cooperation
between the two parties will also involve the creation of platform solutions at
various levels, including nationwide and regional projects to create digital
platforms and services, industry and corporate solutions for optimizing
transport and logistics activities, and industrial services based on telematic
big data.
The
Roscongress Foundation and GLONASS have benefited from expert-led partnership
for several years now. Members of the company’s top-level management have
appeared as speakers at themed sessions as part of numerous Roscongress events,
including the Eastern Economic Forum, the Russian Energy Week, and the Forum of
Innovative Financial Technologies FINOPOLIS 2019.
