The
EFEA Awards, an independent annual contest among event organizers, were
presented in St. Petersburg during the 9th Eurasian Event Forum. The
Roscongress Foundation won the ‘Organizer of the Year’ category for the third
time and finished first in the ‘Project of the Year’ category for the second
year in a row for its Eastern Economic Forum. The Russia-Africa Economic Forum
was recognized as the ‘Revelation of the Year’.
Four
of the Roscongress Foundation’s projects were awarded in various categories of
the EFEA Awards: the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern
Economic Forum, the Russian Investment Forum, and the Russia-Africa Forum,
which was held for the first time in 2019.
The EFEA
Awards has been held since 2015. Its shortlist includes projects and platforms
in Russia that have proven to be a success over the course of the year. The
list of companies that take part in the event is compiled from public sources
and the regularly updated base of the R&C Exhibition Research Centre.
Winners are determined according to a rating based on the number of references
in the Russian media to the forums, exhibitions, congresses, festivals, event
organizers, and venues.
The EFEA
Awards are presented in five categories: ‘Project of the Year’, ‘Organizer of
the Year’, ‘Revelation of the Year’, ‘Venue of the Year’, and ‘Event of the
Year’. Winners of the EFEA Awards include VDNH, ITE Group, Expocenter, the
Circle of Light festival, and the Berengiya race, among others.
