Davos. The Roscongress Foundation and the Department of Foreign Economic and
International Relations of the City of Moscow have signed a Memorandum
of Cooperation at the Russia House in Davos. The document was signed by
Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev and
Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department for Foreign
Economic Activity and International Relations of Moscow Sergei Cheryomin.
The
Memorandum aims to develop long-term cooperation and mutual assistance in
congress and exhibition activities and was signed to jointly engage in
strategic activities for the international promotion of Moscow and the Russian
Federation as part of the Parties activities.
Stuglev
said the Memorandum is evidence of the mutual interest in the further
development of joint projects. «The Moscow Government is a permanent partner
and co-organizer of the Foundations largest events. I hope this document will
significantly bolster relations between the Foundation and the Moscow
Government and will serve as a guarantee for our long-term and reliable
cooperation,» he said.
The
Memorandum creates additional opportunities for exchanging business information
and establishing new international contacts that aim to promote the social,
economic, scientific, technical, investment, and tourism potential of the
Russian Federation and Moscow, in particular.
The
Minister also noted that the signing of the Memorandum with the Roscongress
Foundation would make it possible to begin preparations for a number of
large-scale projects to promote Russias positive image abroad. «Today, it is
crucial for us to not only maintain the positive aspects of cooperation between
Russia and our foreign partners, but also find new forms of collaboration and
communication channels through which we can respond to the pressing challenges
of our times in the most effective manner possible,» Cheryomin said.
