Development of the real economy is clearly a top priority for any major country. Russia and Kazakhstan have a well-developed industrial sector and see great prospects in this area. And in the modern world, industrial development is impossible to imagine without modern technology. How can Russia and Kazakhstan help each other on this journey, and what are the benefits of cooperation between the two countries? These and other topics will be discussed by participants of the panel themed Prospects for Cooperation in Industry and Technology, which will take place on 6 November as part of the 16th RussiaKazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum. The Forum is co-organised by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation.
The Department of Europe,
North America, CIS and Multilateral Economic Cooperation of the Russian
Ministry of Industry and Trade is overseeing preparations for the discussion
from the Russian side, with Vladimir Dozhdev, Director of the Ministrys Department
of Digital Technologies, announced to be moderating
the panel. Large companies and organisations from Russia and Kazakhstan have
been invited to attend the panel, including OSNOVA Group, MIR, RTI, Novomet,
Russian Copper Company, Altynalmas, Kazzinc, the National Centre on Complex
Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan
Industry and Export Centre, and the Industrial Development and Industrial
Safety Committee at the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of
the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Industry 4.0, which has clearly become a major economic trend in many
developed countries, effective digital transformation of industry is becoming a
key growth driver and a significant driver of competitiveness in international
markets not only for individual businesses, but for entire national economies.
Historically, cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan has played a
strategically important role for both nations, and leveraging the combined potential
of our two countries in developing digital economy will provide the necessary
synergy and strengthen their competitive position in global markets. We view
Kazakhstan as our partner in the digital transformation of industry, and are
open to cooperation and ready for joint mutually beneficial projects,» said
Vladimir Dozhdev. And, of course, when designing joint projects we need to
consider the other economys specifics."
Adoption of modern
technology is essential in all areas of manufacturing as optimising operations,
manufacturing products to global standards, or maintaining information security
are impossible without it. Discussion topics will include application of
blockchain technology in the public sector. Participants will discuss the
prospects of using blockchain and whether it can protect information of
government agencies. Representatives of MIR will share their experience of
digital projects in the energy sector and discuss how their learnings can be
applied in Kazakhstan. Application of innovative technology, launching
high-tech production in various industries, including in oil lifting, and other
topics will be covered by experts from Russia and Kazakhstan. The panels main
focus will be transfer of innovative technologies, including ways to properly
arrange for experience sharing, applicability of projects from Russia and
Kazakhstan in neighbouring countries, and the expected benefits of technology
adoption.
The
16th RussiaKazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum focusing on Topical
Issues Related to the Development of Cross-Border Cooperation will take place
