Events
within the 16th RussiaKazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum will
take place in Omsk on 67 November 2019. The Forum will focus on Topical
Issues Related to the Development of Cross-Border Cooperation. The business
programme will comprise panels and a plenary session attended by key business
players and government officials from both countries. In addition, a number of
strategically important bilateral documents are expected to be signed on the
sidelines of the Forum.

maintaining and developing interregional cooperation cannot be underestimated.
Russia and Kazakhstan have proved to be reliable and strong partners both in
matters of external policy and in the development of joint business projects.
We are connected not only by our common past, but, hopefully, by our successful
future. The Interregional Cooperation Forum is a unique platform where we can
together set the direction to move forward,» said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to
the President of the Russian Federation.
The business programme will start on 6 November with an
official opening of the exhibition themed High-Tech: Opportunities in
Kazakhstani and Russian Regions. The days agenda includes a total of five
panel sessions devoted to high-priority issues of bilateral cooperation.
Participants will discuss the development of cross-border trade, prospects for
cooperation in industry and technology, energy innovations, non-commodity
exports, digital transformation and womens entrepreneurship. The main agenda
will be complemented by the RussiaKazakhstan Youth Forum.
A presentation of the cross-border cooperation programme for
Kazakhstan and Russia featuring Maksim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic
Development of the Russian Federation, and Ruslan Dalenov, Minister of National
Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will open the business programme on
7 November. The days key event will be the plenary session on Topical
Issues Related to the Development of Cross-Border Cooperation.
