The Case Zone, a unique communication platform operating within the exhibition space of the Russian Investment Forum, will open its doors at 10:00 a.m. on 13 February with a dynamic and eventful business programme.

Primorsky Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako has confirmed that he will take part in the ‘Open Dialogue’. Guests of the Case Zone will have an opportunity to speak with the leader of the region and ask him questions.

A programme of thematic events will be held in the Case Zone as part of the ‘Healthy Life Forum: Towards 80+’, which will be held on 13 February.

The programme will kick off with a pitch session of the ‘Healthy Society’ Innovation Contest. Fifteen semi-finalists will present their projects, and an expert panel will rate their quality, innovativeness, business model, social significance, and other factors.

One of the Case Zone events focuses on the social adaptation of the elderly in modern society. Leading geriatrics experts and the heads of medical institutions, charitable foundations, and community organizations from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities will discuss problems that the elderly face today as well as ways to eradicate the negative attitudes associated with old age. Speakers will include Chief Physician of Alexeyev Psychiatric Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Moscow Department of Public Health Georgy Kostyuk, General Director of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation Maria Morozova, Director of the ‘Joy in Old Age’ Charitable Foundation Elizaveta Oleskina, and others.

The roundtable ‘Fitness and Sport: Partners or Competitors’ will focus on the current trend of the growing public need for social and physical activity and the popularity of fitness and sports.

The Case Zone will continue in the afternoon with the practical session ‘Medicine of the 21st Century’, which will include discussions on a wide range of issues: from innovative approaches to improving people’s health to the role of genetic research and IT technologies in the medicine of the future. Top doctors, scientists, and biotechnology experts will share their best practices and speak in detail about real cases involving the fight against increasingly frequent strokes among younger people, comprehensive approaches to the rehabilitation and prevention of major diseases as well as advanced discoveries in diagnostics and treatment.

On 14–15 February guests can also view pitch sessions for projects that hope to receive investor support for further development. The presentation was free for anyone who wanted to submit an application. After studying all the applications received (over 50), the ten most interesting projects were selected and will be presented at the Case Zone. The pitch session experts will include representatives of investment funds, consultancies, and development institutions.

A number of discussions are planned as part of Case Zone business programme. In particular, during the session ‘Trends 2019. Results of 2018’, investment community leaders will discuss opportunities and prospects for attracting international capital to Russia and the main focuses of investment in 2019. In addition, leading experts will discuss factors concerning the investment appeal of public-private partnership projects in the regions, investment in the transportation of the future, and other themes.

Case Zone guests will be the first to hear the presentation of an analytical product that has been specially prepared by Expert RA — the study ‘Economic Health of the Russian Regions: Current Level and Changing Dynamics’, which reflects the competitive advantages of the regions in the context of opportunities and preferences for investors.

There will be a cafe in the Case Zone area at which guests can purchase coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks so that their attention is not diverted away from the exciting discussions and presentations for too long.

The Case Zone is open to all categories of participants on 13-15 February in the centre of Exhibition Hall 2 from 9:00 to 20:00.

A detailed programme of Case Zone business events is available on the rusinvestforum.org website in the Programme section and at the Case Zone administrator’s desk.
