Roscongress Foundation and ROTOBO sign memorandum of intent for cooperation

The Roscongress Foundation and the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) signed a memorandum of intent for cooperation during a ceremony at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev and ROTOBO President Shigeru Murayama. The memorandum was included in a list of 56 documents distributed following negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The document envisages cooperation in the distribution of information about the economic potential and investment opportunities of Russia and Japan in order to develop economic ties between the two countries.

«We agreed to promote the development of relations between enterprises and organizations of Russia and Japan through expert meetings, mutual visits of delegations as well as the organization of business forums, presentations, and other events», Stuglev said.

«We are very pleased that we have managed to establish relations involving cooperation with a company that organizes major events for Russia. ROTOBO intends to promote the development of relations between our states together with the Roscongress Foundation», Murayama said.
