More than 50 events were held as part of the Healthy Life project in 2022. Over the course
of the year, key discussion topics included the import substitution of
medicine, expanded cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries in matters
concerning healthcare and pharmaceuticals, support for traditional family
values, projects to promote health protection and healthy lifestyles, and ways
to improve the countrys demographic potential.
«Protecting the health and well-being of Russian citizens is a strategic
task, which requires an integrated approach and the united efforts of all
concerned parties. A healthy society can only be created based on an open and
direct dialogue that should involve the public authorities, leading industry
experts, opinion leaders, representatives of the professional and scientific
community, as well as society itself through the institutions that represent
it. The Healthy Life project serves as an aggregator of the entire healthcare
agenda, and this is why the discussion of thematic healthcare tracks in the format
of public debates using the projects platform directly contributes to the
drafting of practical proposals to achieve the goals that have been set,»
Adviser to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov said.
The Healthy Life Project organized discussions at the St. Petersburg
International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Eastern Economic Forum, Russian
Labour Safety Week, the 1st National Health Care 2022 national
congress with international participation, and the Young Scientists Congress.
The Russian Pharmaceutical Forum Ensuring Drug Security was
held for the second time with the support of the Subcommittee on the Regulation
of the Drug Circulation of the State Dumas Committee on Health Protection. The
forums central objective was to identify the main focus areas for the
development of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia and around the world. The
discussion participants noted the adoption of key government decisions,
specifically on such issues as maintaining the availability of medicines,
achieving the financial stability and technological independence of
pharmaceutical industries, and fulfilling state guarantees for the provision of
drugs to the public. They also emphasized the localization of pharmaceutical
production, the development of scientific expertise, as well as the creation of
new markets. The next forum will take place on the opening day of SPIEF 2023.
The Conference Creating a Healthy Society in the Far East and
Arctic was organized for the first time on the opening day of the Eastern
Economic Forum with the support of the Healthy Life Project as part of Russias
chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021-2023. At the conference, experts
discussed ways to preserve childrens health and family health, improve the
demographic situation in Russia, and how to change destructive behavioural
patterns that lead to a large proportion of deaths in the country among people
in the working age group of 40 and 60 years. One of the themes of the event was
the role that women play in implementing public projects to promote a healthy
lifestyle in remote areas. The conference participants also discussed the
quality, accessibility, and safety of medical care. This discussion will
continue in January 2023 with the Roundtable Does the Arctic Region Need a
Special Approach to Healthcare? Modern Technologies and Innovative Solutions.
The Healthy Life Project organized the International Conference
Values and Opportunities in a Multipolar World in the United Arab
Emirates for the first time as part of its efforts to engage in international
cooperation. The event brought together more than 250 participants from the UAE
and Russia and paved the way for productive, mutually beneficial cooperation
between Russia and the UAE on key socioeconomic development and cultural policy
issues. The conference included business events dedicated to such issues as
international cooperation in the advanced healthcare system, the transformation
of modern education, adapting business to conditions in the new realities, the
unifying role of culture and art, strengthening traditional values in a
multipolar world, and many others. The discussions outlined plans to expand the
partnership between the two countries, including in the pharmaceuticals
industry.
The Healthy Life Projects activities not only involve organizing and
holding events on healthcare issues, but also promoting the values of a healthy
lifestyle and supporting public projects in this regard. The Healthy Life
Project team organized the Women for a Healthy Society platform, which
brought together proactive women from around the country to promote healthy and
active lifestyles. In spring 2022, the Women for a Healthy Society competition
recapped its activities and selected the best initiatives among women leaders
to create a healthy lifestyle culture and develop a responsible attitude to
peoples health. The award ceremony for the finalists and winners of the Women
for a Healthy Society competition took place at the Federation Council.
Based on the selection results, an interactive map of projects was created
for the Russian regions, in addition to digital profiles of participants
who promote healthy lifestyle ideas. The next competitive selection will take
place in 2023.
