The Transport Infrastructure of Russia Forum is scheduled to take place on 19 September at Rossiya Segodnya’s International Multimedia Press Centre in Moscow. The event, which has been held since 2015, is part of the ROSINFRA Infrastructure Congress series, and is being organized by the PPP Development Center and the Roscongress Foundation.

The plenary session will focus on a plan to develop highway infrastructure and approaches to the details specified within, the evaluation method behind selecting projects which have applied for government support, aligning development for various transport and non-transport infrastructure, and long-term performance criteria for infrastructure companies. In addition, a number of industry-specific sessions will be held, where participants will draw up proposals to develop Russia’s transit potential and integrate it in international transport corridors. They will also discuss models of attracting private investment in the development of port infrastructure — and ways to utilize it effectively — and put forward suggestions to get business involved in projects to reconstruct small regional airports and broaden the interregional aviation network. A session dedicated to regional road infrastructure will analyse plans to achieve KPIs in the development of roads of both local and national significance, as set out in a Russian Presidential Decree issued in May. In addition, the initial results of regional PPP projects with federal support will be presented, and current sources of funding for transport infrastructure examined. Another session will look at developing PPPs in light rail, where participants will analyse features related to comprehensive development in large agglomerations and discuss interim results of the first projects under concession agreements in this sector. The creation of a smart transport infrastructure and application of PPP mechanisms to implement IT projects in transport will also come under focus in a series of intellectual debates entitled «Digitalization of the Transport Complex: The Future behind the ‘Smart’ Infrastructure».
