The 8th Eastern Economic Forum will be held on 5–8 September 2023 on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The event is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
“The Eastern Economic Forum has established itself as a prestigious discussion platform that is designed to promote the intensive development of the Far East economy and the expansion of international cooperation in the Asia–Pacific region. Breakthrough technologies are traditionally presented on the sidelines of the Forum, landmark investment contracts are signed, and key decisions are taken for the country’s development. The importance of the Far East has definitely increased today. Export flows that have pivoted eastward create both new challenges and new opportunities. I am certain that the 8th Eastern Economic Forum will be held at the highest representative level of business,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee.
Per tradition, an extensive cultural programme will be prepared for guests and residents of the Far East: at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District will present their best projects, unique craftsmanship and original cuisine, and the Vladivostok Seasons Art Festival will be held at central venues in Vladivostok.
The Eastern Economic Forum 2022 brought together more than 7,000 participants and media representatives from 68 countries and territories, including Russia, including about 1,700 business representatives from 700 companies. On the sidelines of the Forum, 296 agreements were signed for a total of RUB 3.272 trillion.
