The first Macroeconomic Conference of the Bank of Russia, the 16th International Conference of the All-Russian Insurance Association called In Search of Growth Areas. Development Strategy, the Current Issues of Microfinance conference and a number of topical round tables are scheduled for the starting day of the IFC, 6 June 2018.
On 7 June, the address of Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, will open the Business Programme of the Congress. The plenary session called How Does Regulation Affect Financial System Stability and Economic Growth? will be devoted to changes in the regulation of the financial sector that occurred in ten years since the outbreak of the last financial crisis. Experts will also discuss the efficiency of measures to ensure financial stability, prospects for the development of the financial market.
On 8 June, Citigroup’s Special Economic Adviser Willem Buiter will address the participants.
This year, the IFC’s special Presentation Area will host presentations of the latest financial products and services, business sessions and events. Participants will have an opportunity to hear about trends in the development of the financial sector, receive recommendations from their colleagues, and learn about the technological innovations that could change the face of the industry over the next few years.
